None of the items listed below or any other item listed in the Control of Pollutions Act 1974 may be placed in skips.

If any item is found in a skip you will be given the choice of collecting the offending item(s) from us free of charge or if you do not collect the item(s) from us within 48 hours, the item(s) will be returned to you and a minimum charge of £50.00 + vat will be payable by you.

Hire Terms

All skips are hired out for a maximum of 14 days or whenever you have finished with it whichever is sooner.

When ordering a skip please take the following into account -
- Width of access
- Any low hanging cables or tree
branches
- Manholes & Drains

All skips are deliverd by 18 ton lorries which need a minimum entrance width of 9ft and a minimum height of 12ft.

For containers placed on the Public Highway, Footpath or Grass Verge a Highway Permit needs to be obtained.
We apply for these permits for you but Local Authorities make a charge. Charges and permit times vary from council to council so please check with our office if you are not sure.

It is important to note that Councils require at least 5 working days notice for a permit to be issued, so please leave plenty of time before you require your skip.

As a condition of the permit you the customer are required to supply lights and cones to be placed around the skip for the full hire period. These can be obtained from any local hire shop for a nominal rental.

Kent - 7 day permit - £30
Sussex - 14 day permit - £48
